| Sequencer Update Fails |

I tried to update my Komplex to 2.3 from 1.3. MIDI update over sysex worked fine, as did sequencer updates for A, B, and D, but sequencer C fails every time. There is not indication during the firmware update process that the update has failed, so during my first attempt I simply moved onto sequencer D which worked fine.
When out of the boot loader mode sequencer C cannot be played; both start and stop are unlit. Lights on the individual steps for sequencer C are lit, but don't blink. Attempts to check the firmware version for sequencer C fail as well, but work for the other.
When attempting to re-do the firmware update everything appears to progress as normal, but there is no two-blink confirmation at the end, and when rebooting sequencer C remains not operational. Just for kicks I tried flashing the firmware for A, B, and D onto C to see if anything would work, but none would take.
When the pandemic first hit I was talking with Christian from Koma Elektronik over email, and his suggestion was to get my hands on an AVR programmer and try flashing the firmware directly on the chip, but then our studio had to close, we moved cities, and by the time we reopened and I finally was able to return to the problem it has been two years.
So now I have an AVRISP mkII and am keen to get this piece of gear operational, but understandably the folks at Koma Elektronik are unable to provide support for things out of warranty. Does anyone here know how to do this direct flashing procedure?

Hiya KOMA!
I was referred to ya'll by a forum post when I was looking at trying to see if a standard for case to case interconnects existed and attempting to come up with one that might be a good starting point. My design used 4-pin XLRs. The power sources would have a female XLR and the power destinations a male. I was pondering unregulated DC and using linear PSUs to bring the voltages down to +- 12V (and optionally +5V but I kinda ignored that for now since it seems rather rare these days) or using standard +/- 12V and being mindful of cable distance and things due to voltage drop.
That's just what I came up with but then I saw ya'll have what appears to be a Molex style solution. My question was around if you would be willing to share the pinout and design with me and perhaps other folks in an effort to try and get a case to case (and power to case) interconnect standard?
I'm a small boutique case maker which I guess kinda makes us competitors but mine aren't nearly as nice as yours and I'm over in the US so I think we comfortably sit in different market segments perhaps! As a user of Eurorack though, the lack of modular cases has bothered me (I see yours are expandable which is fantastic!). Being able to start with a small enclosure and power supply, then extend to other enclosures (without having to get rid of the old one) and then upgrade the power solution as needed seems to me to be the spirit of modular yet I haven't really seen that? I think there's only one case maker that has any sort of case to case power interconnect (forgive me I don't remember the name, but it's one of the metal case makers).
Anyways just curious as to your thoughts! Sorry if this isn't the right place to ask. I couldn't find a direct contact us link to an email and thought this was better than hitting ya'll up on Instagram.

Hi, i need some support with the speaker output on the koma fieldkit, i wanted to use a louder speaker as the speaker i got is not loud enough to use to interact with on certain objects. i read the manual and it says the output is 500 mw/ but all the speakers i was able to find we really tiny toy speakers, how can i appropriate something more louder for this purpose and what d you recommend . thankyou

Hi there, I'm new here!
I used the FK's DC interface for a while to control the playback speed of a modded Walkman (as Hainbach does on his videos).
Everything was working fine, but 2 days ago, I hadn't used the FK for a long time, and I got into a jam.
However, when I connect the Driver output to my Walkman in PMW mode, unlike before, the Walkman's motor runs at a constant speed, a fairly high speed by the way: the "Intensity" knob no longer does something.
And the red LED doesn't light up either.
Has anyone encountered this problem before? If so, did you manage to solve it?
I precise I tried 3 different modded Walkmans, and the same thing happens with all of them.
Thank you for your insights, I can't wait to read you!
Cheers

| troubleshooting a semi-broken KOMA Field kit mixer... |

I love my KOMA field kit and field kit FX (I got them 2nd hand) but my field kit mixer has a broken channel 1.
I've measured on the board and the working channels (2-3-4) have around 4 V on the center pin of the tone control.
However, the broken / dead / channel (1) measures 6-7 V on the tone control center pin.
I fear the mixer might be out of warranty - but if anyone here has solved a similar problem I'd be very grateful to hear about it. (I'm thinking along the lines of: if the buffer-amp is broken, possibly you could add an extra LM324 just to handle channel 1 input?)

Here is our first teaser of the KASSIOPEIA just for you users of the community.
The product has finished its first stage of development and we hope that the ongoing chip shortage won't keep us from producing it soon.
Feel free to ask any questions, imagine how you would use it in your setup, and let us know what you think (we will take that into consideration) :)
