hello.
I recently purchased KOMA FX.
the seller had it in eurorack, but he still had the original box and power supply.
I moved KOMA FX into the box according to your instructions and now after using the device for 20-30 minutes, its bottom gets very hot.
I couldn't find any information about this anywhere, tell me is this normal?

Greetings an hello from the southwest/USA to all!
So now that the new production run on the complex is underway,
the obvious question that begs an answer is: Will there be a firmware update capability for the first production
line of the sequencers from back in the day (1998)?
Just a thought. Would be nice to incorporate any new features from the new ? firmware being released along with the new production run.
Regards, JP

Greetings from Berlin!
We hope this message finds you well. We want to give you an update on the current production status of your Komplex Sequencer.
The Golden Sample tested well and after a couple of days of testing it, we started to set up all the orders. There is a lot of things that go into a product like the Komplex Sequencer: Electronics, Hardware (a LOT of hardware actually!), Knobs, Wooden Sidepanels, Enclosure, NEW Packaging and NEW manuals to name the most important ones. All of these items have been ordered, some have already been received and for the remaining ones we finally got a shipping date.
We will start receiving electronics in around 2 weeks, when we will also start soldering the hardware to the boards. The hardware is all the sliders, jacks, potentiometers, switches and so on. The wooden side cheeks will arrive next week. Knobs, screws and a small mountain of hardware are already here.
Last week we received the shipping date for the enclosures. Unfortunately our supplier for the enclosures took an epic 7 weeks to start planning our production after we initiated the order back in June.
Finally those enclosures are in production now but since the enclosure of the Komplex Sequencer is powder coated for extra durability and then silkscreened afterwards, it takes a little while to finish them.
We will only receive the enclosures in October, so we'll have to wait with shipping the first units until then. We are really, really sorry for this delay as we could keep our promise of starting to ship in September if it wasn't for the enclosures. But once more it shows that good things take time and so does the enclosure of your sequencer.
We plan to finish around 10 sequencers a week, so at least by the time that we receive the enclosures in October, we likely already have your sequencer produced, tested and ready to slip into its enclosure. We will proceed to send them out as quick as we can as soon as the first enclosures arrive here.
Again, we are really sorry for this delay but hope that you can wait 2 - 3 more weeks than expected. Quality is what counts after all and this is a promise we will definitely keep! :D
We will keep you updated and remain with
a synthesized hug from Berlin,
the KOMA team

Field Kit servicing in UK?

Hi, I have a field kit and field kit fx. Is there anyone in UK who services these?
The problem is with noise. The reverb is particularly noisy, and other areas become unpleasantly noisy over the course of a relatively short session. I'm an idiot when it comes to tech, and would be grateful if someone would service both machines please.

Strom/ Strom + _ Rear Mounting

Hello,
I'm planing to build my own case and am strongly considering your Strom or Strom + Module.
So my question is: Can I also mount the module at the rear (bottom) of the case (it will be made of wood). Is there anything to consider?
Many thanks in advance,
John-Daniel Martin

Hello everyone,
I embark on a difficult task after having had equipment stolen from my car: take inventory of all my equipment.
Do you have any idea if the Field Kit and Field Kit FX have a serial number? And if so, where can it be found?
Thank you very much for your insights.
Cheers

KOMPLEX IS READY
The long wait finally ends! Due to the supply chain disruption caused by Covid-19 we had to scrape together parts from all corners of the world for nearly two years. Finally the last necessary chip has found its way into the box labelled "Komplex Sequencer". We are now able to start producing a "golden sample" and organize a full production run.
First 10 persons pre-ordering will receive 10 KOMA Elektronik branded patch cables with the perfect size to internally patch the Komplex patchbay
Komplex Sequencer
€1949 + PATCH CABLES FOR FREE
GOLDEN SAMPLE
What is a "golden sample" and why is it necessary?First off: NO, there will NOT be a Komplex with an enclosure made out of gold (at least not in any forseeable future). But whenever a "complex" product like the Komplex undergoes some bigger changes, KOMA usually won't just go ahead and change a bunch of circuitry to willy nilly start production right away. Instead, great care is taken and a so-called "golden sample" is produced. This means that all changes are worked into the circuitry and a single prototype is being built to be tested thoroughly.
NEW FEATURES
We added a new functionality into the Komplex Sequencer:The Transpose CV input now also transposes the MIDI notes that a sequencer is producing. Also some circuitry had to undergo changes to account for non-available and now obsolete chips. We already have a prototype here with the necessary changes but it still has a bunch of colored wires dangling out of the enclosure and the changes are essentially piggy-backed on the original circuitry. That's why we are producing a golden sample right now as you read these lines. Once that prototype comes back and is all good, we will trigger production.
WHAT ELSE HAS CHANGED?
The new Komplex run is very limited and will be available in2 batches of 25 pieces each. Some of you that were eying the Komplex for a longer time might have noticed that the sales price increased. Unfortunately many components needed for building a Komplex sequencer have gotten more expensive since our last production run. In fact, it is fair to say that ALL components have gotten substantially more expensive. This starts with electronic parts not available on the market anymore, like microcontrollers that we had to buy for an elevated price, goes over hardware parts like sliders and pushbuttons and ends with greatly risen prices for both the metal enclosure and wooden side cheeks.
WHAT NOW?
Since demand is huge, as of today, we have enabled backordering of Komplex Sequencers in our web shop. We have already ordered a few components like the metal enclosures and wooden side panels but the majority of production will have to wait until the golden sample is here.Since we already tested the new functionality and can verify it with our "Frankenstein" unit here, it should be smooth sailing from here on out. In fact, we are testing this feature since nearly a year in our synth setup in the. workshop and enjoy it thoroughly.
HOW TO PRE-ORDER
Current estimated delivery date for the first batch is September 2023.
That's how long it takes for all the necessary parts to arrive in our workshop plus assemble time. It is "first come, first served" or as you programmers like to call it: FIFO (first in, first out).
So, be quick, and reserve your unit today! We will keep you updated about important milestones.
All the best from Berlin,
The KOMA Team

Broken channel on mixer

I have a broken channel 3 on my mixer. It just suddenly stopped working, no sound out. I'm handy with a solder station, but I'm not good at troubleshooting audio equipment or reading schematics.
But can anyone here point me in the right direction as of what components to swap out? I'm guessing a broken OP-amp.
Cheers,
LarsO
