I'm having a hard time troubleshooting my Koma Komplex. I am unable to get any MIDI in or out of the device to attempt an upgrade to fix the issue. The quantizers don't seem to do anything to the CV Out on any of the sequencers. I have successfully updated all sequencers to v3.1. 

I've tried emailing support a few times the past couple months since I've received the sequencer and have not gotten a response. I'm pretty disappointed if this is the quality of hardware and service I'm getting for a $2000 piece of equipment.

I can confirm that my Komplex that arrived a week or two ago also does not seem to do much to quantize the output CV. Or send MIDI output. Or receive MIDI input. I plugged in the MIDI output into my mIO interface, which has a LED indicator on the front that flashes when it receives clock pulses. It usually flashes when I plug in my Keystep Pro... but not the Komplex.

I figure I should update my firmware but I haven't found where to download it (tried this after googling for it but the page is down: https://koma-elektronik.com/new/3840-2/?...P1JO2UZi3H)

It would be cool if someone could share suggested test steps to diagnose the problem.

My previous response has not been approved yet, but here's an update:

1. Tried downgrading midi and CV firmware to 2.3 - no diffence...
2. Tried upgrading both to 3.2 again - no difference...

... on sequencer A and B!

Shamefully I must admit I only tried sequencer A and B before and not C and D.
Quantization works for sequencer C and D!!
But quantization is stuck to one CV level per output range on sequencer A and B. Does not matter what CV you set the slider to or what scale you try - it is stuck to one level!

And MIDI is dead as a door nail - does not respond to input midi clock, does not send midi clock. Does not respond to start/stop. Does not send start/stop. I'm measuring this both with a MIDI activity LED on my mIO interface that I'm connecting the Komplex to and also seeing if the Komplex responds to MIDI messages sent from my Keystep. No luck there.

Hi guys, sorry to hear about your issues. I can't see any e-mails in our support mailbox in the time given. We did have some technical issues with our support mailbox this year though, so maybe your e-mails are affected and we never got them.

Could you please both give your serial numbers? Are these new or second hand machines? And when you updated your sequencers, did you update all four sequencers as well as the MIDI chip? It's very important for the Komplex to function properly that all components are up to date.

Komplex doesn't send MIDI clock by the way, only Notes, Velocity or CC. Sending / receiving MIDI Start / Stop needs to be explicitly set in the Mode Menu.

Also you are welcome to write an e-mail to our support address but it seems like you both did this but they don't arrive on our end...
