Hi,

Is it possible to power the Strom+ with a powerbank for a portable system?
I am planning a 7U 84HP Flightcase.

Power Consumption of tthe case should be max.
+12V @ 1250mA
-12V @ 450mA
5V @ 0mA

I am not really sure what powerbank to use.
There are 15V Powerbanks, but I believe they only support up to 3,6A and I believe Strom+ needs 4,6A?

Maybe there is someone who is running Strom+ already from a Powerbank and can point me in the right direction?

Thanks,

Hello everyone,

I'm looking to use Arduino boards with my field kit sensor section (and other things) and on the Koma website it implies the best way to power an Arduino is with the dc motor interface

"The maximum output-voltage is about 8v. It provides enough current to power an Arduino"

I'm just wondering if it is possible to power an Arduino board from the 5v output and ground output of the sensor section and then use more complex sensors with the Arduino and then just output the sensor data from the Arduino and input to the field kit signal input?

I'd like to use the dc motor and an arduino at the same time if possible for a couple of ideas i have and just wanted to know if the plan was viable or I'd have to rethink slightly.

Hi, many of us have experienced the Divisions knob loosing functionality when updating the OS on older Koma Komplex Sequencers.

I got these instructions from Christian at Koma with the permission to share them on this forum.

Boot into the Testsoftware
• To boot into the Testsoftware hold the following buttons while powering the machine:
• STEP - GLIDE - SSP - GATE
• This will bring you to the "Color Setting Menu" (check the manual if you're interested in changing your colors)
But there is a hidden division calibration too! To enter the correct menu for calibrating your divisions press and hold MODE, then press the first step button (step 1) on all four sequencers. This will bring up the "light show" that we use for testing LEDs. Now press and hold MODE and press step 6 on all four sequencers. Now you're in the Division calibration mode for each sequencer. To set them do the following:

1. Turn the `Divisions` knob to counter-clockwise, until it can't move anymore (to the :32 division).
2. Press the left most `Step` button (Step 1). The LED of the slider above should light up / move to that position.
3. Turn the `Divisions` knob one position further clock-wise. Press the `Step` button to right of the last one that you clicked (now Step 2). The LED of the slider above should light up. (This saves the position of the knob.)
4. Repeat steps 3 until all the knob doesn't move anymore. (You are doing it right, if the LEDs light up from left to right.)
5. Press the `One-Shot Mode` button of the sequencer you just calibrated to save the configuration to the EEPROM, so it is saved after the unit has been turned off. Now all the LEDs in the row should light up. Wait until only one LED lights up again.
6. Move the `Divisions` knob. The LEDs should now move with the position of that knob. Check if every position of the knob has one LED light up. If not, repeat steps 1 to 5.

You need to repeat this for every sequencer (sorry). And then your divisions should work again. Sorry for the hassle. But really it doesn't take very long and will make your Divisions more stable than ever before.

Hi,
I hope I've just blown a fuse on my Strom PSU. PSU was indicating green (OK) before the issue. After swapping 2 modules it came on briefly then shut down. Now shut down completely with nothing connected.
I was going to order the replacements from you but was shocked by the 21 Euro shipping fee to the UK. Can I get the same fuse in the UK?
If so what is the specification? Can I get the manual as well as it's not on the website.

Help, please! The DC interface on my Field Kit is not working. It refuses to activate either motors (via PWM) or solenoids (via Pulse). The CV/Trigger does respond to the signal from the LFO (IE the two LEDs flash in unison) but no combination of intensities or LFO ranges can persuade motors to turn or solenoids to fire. (A little DC motor that will wildly spin when connected to a 6V battery makes only the tiniest of clicking sounds when attached to the interface). I can measure a voltage of just under 6V at the peak of the PW pulse. Any ideas what is going on and how I can fix it?

Basically, when I patch the CV of sequencer B into sequencer A's transpose port, it ALSO transposes sequencer C. But it only transposes C by a half-step up or down total (in other words, it seems like the voltage transposing C where it shouldn't isn't as strong as normal, like it's getting a small amount of the voltage getting sent to sequencer A, if that's even possible! )

I have on of the new MIDI-transposing Komplexes if that makes a difference.

I'm only sending clock from Logic to Sequencer A in this case, so I have no idea why B is also sending CV to a second sequencer when it's only patched to A.

Any help?

I tried resetting the Komplex and this didn't fix it.
