Hi it says that an external antenna can be used for the FM Radius module but doesn't specify how to connect. Is it just a specific gauge of unshielded wire? Can someone provide some guidance here? Thanks in advance!

In most urban or city environments, an antenna isn’t usually necessary to receive FM signals. However, in some cases, using one can definitely improve reception.

The connector type is called DuPont (standard jumper wire).
That said, you can really use any wire you like, as long as it fits snugly into the socket and stays firmly in place, it will work just fine.
You can use a solid-core wire by stripping one end and inserting it into the socket. That will work.

Feel free to experiment with antenna lengths. You can reach even 1 meter of Antenna to improve reception.
